About the Role

As a Flag State Inspector, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring vessels meet international safety and regulatory standards. By joining MMG, you’ll help maintain maritime safety and compliance under multiple flag states.

Education & Experience

✔️ Master (STCW Reg. II/2-unlimited) or Chief Engineer (STCW Reg/III/2 – over 3000KW) Certificate of Competency.

✔️ Degree/Diploma in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrotechnical Engineering, or a related maritime field.

✔️ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marine surveying or a similar role.

✔️ Lead Auditor qualification for ISM, ISPS, and MLC 2006 audits is preferred.

Required Skills & Qualifications

✔️ Certification as a Flag State Inspector or equivalent maritime inspection experience.

✔️ Strong knowledge of international maritime conventions (SOLAS, ISM, ISPS, MLC 2006).

✔️ Familiarity with IMO conventions, codes, and regulatory requirements.

✔️ Proficient in English (both written and verbal).

✔️ Excellent communication and reporting skills.

✔️ Availability for travel.

⚓ Collaborate with shipowners, operators, and stakeholders to maintain compliance.
